Project Evaluation:
There will be 2 types of monitoring and evaluation - internal & external.

An expected component of the evaluation will be the consultation with participants as to the feed-back from the activities performed. The DP partner will provide the Lead Partner with this evaluation as part of the exercise for completing the activity and claiming expenses.

An external evaluation will also be performed. The evaluators will be expected to:-

• Agree a work plan with the Development Partnership

• Assist in the design of the project’s evaluation activity. This will include support in identifying key indicators and methods for measuring progress, processes and impacts. Identify and develop relevant baselines to underpin the evaluation. Key aspects of the project which will need to be measured include:-

• Innovation

• Mainstreaming

• Empowerment

• Transnational cooperation

• Undertake relevant evaluation activity on a continuous basis, e.g through analysis of project data and management information, where necessary through undertaking surveys etc, linking continuing evaluation to the cycle of project activity.

• Produce reports each six months for the DP, highlighting recommendations for action to be taken by the DP to improve delivery and impact.

• Subject to discussion and agreement with DPs in other member states, to undertake a ‘parallel’ external evaluation, covering the transnational aspects of the project.

• Produce a final report for the DP.

• Participate in dissemination activity.

Support for the internal evaluation process will draw on the expertise from within the DP Partnership such as Kingston University and from DP partners who have been involved in previous EQUAL 1 projects.
