Thomas Chan set up TCA Consultancy in 2001. The Consultancy specialised in business advice and support, international trade, capacity building, accredited food safety training, training, research and consultancy works in the field of diversity and equality.

  iaspora Business Interchange (MDBI), a EU funded project. The Consultancy is the Lead of the project’s Black, Asian and minority ethnic business networks;
• Central London Enterprise Consortium (CLEC), a London Development Agency (LDA) funded project;
• International Gateway for Suppliers, a LDA Opportunities Fund project promoting transnational businesses between Britain, China and India; and
• A Defra funded project advising UK citizens not to bring illegal food products back after their overseas visits.

Thomas Chan, its Director, sits on the Home Office Stop & Search Action Team Community Panel and is a member of the Race Equality Advisory Panel (REAP) set up by HMRC (HM Revenue and Customs).

He is the Chairman of the Takeaway Association (UK), a founding member and Vice-Chairman of the Chinese in Britain Forum and a Trustee of the ASHA Foundation.
